Teatro de Tacón, Havana (Cuba), c. 1900
I am a Senior Lecturer (i.e., Associate Professor) at King's College London, where I am affiliated with the Departments of Liberal Arts and Classics. I am also co-Director of the new Global Cultures Institute, based in the King's Faculty of Arts & Humanities. Before joining King's, I earned my PhD in Classics at Princeton and held the first A. G. Leventis Research Fellowship in Ancient Greek Literature at University College London.

I have broad interests in Greek antiquity and its complex modern afterlife. My research focuses on two main areas: ancient Greek tragedy and the reception of Greece and Rome across the Americas.

I have over fifteen years of experience teaching and convening a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate modules  in Classics, Classical Reception Studies, and Liberal Arts at both UK and US universities. I am passionate about interdisciplinary and innovative research and pedagogy in the Humanities.
